dell pc battery
Due to the dell battery recall, i had to reinstall wind. xp. Now media center is completely shot. Help plz?
My laptop hasn’t worked correctly since the “Dell battery recall”.
First, after i sent the old battery in, I had to reinstall windows xp (from a dell supplied disk) because of a “beginning physical dump” err. mess. (blue screen).
Shortly after I received the “new” battery (which i also have to send back…), my problems with Media Center started.
In windows xp Media Center, when i try to play videos, i get an error message–”Files needed to display video are not installed or not working correctly. Please restart media center and/or restart pc–neither of these work..
When trying to play music, i get error message #COOD11CD.
I have tried to call, for help, and to go on site, and get any downloads I may need, but to no avail.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Contact Dell Support and let them know about your problem. Perhaps they can send you a Windows Media Center Install Disk. Also, you can try a destructive recovery in the System Restore Start-up Program. God Bless.
