dell wireless adapter
I have a wired dell desktop and want to purchase a wireless adapter. to get wireless connection on it.?
I have some in mind, but im not sure what are some good ones? any suggestions.
additionally, i want to know if it works to use those USB connections. because I plan on moving my wireless router to another place in the room.
USB wifi adapters work as well as the built in ones.
Linksys, D-Link and Netgear all have been used without much difference in speed and reliability from each other.. this being on the better side of things.
D-Link would be the cheapest I think.. if your router is Draft N standard-ready, you’d be able to take advantage by getting the similar spec’d one for the adapter.
make sure you configure at least a basic WEP encryption so neighbours don’t try to hog your network…
